24 W. Broad Street - Broad Theatre

A culturally enticing piece of property, currently under interior and exterior renovations and on the market for re-sale, this is surely to be one of the main highlights for those both living and visiting Souderton. The criteria for purchasing the Broad Theater is that in its finished state, it must remain a theater or cultural arts center.

Brief History

Art Deco architecture. The theater was built by Jacob Gilman and opened on July 21, 1922, with seating for 700. Not only were moving pictures shown here, but also vaudeville type acts for public entertainment.
